Speech Rules for #ECHA2013


Theme            : “Break the Limit through the Knowledge”
Sub theme:
1.      International Problems
2.      Cultural Globalization
3.      Global Warming
Prizes:
First Place       : Trophy, certificate, and Rp 500.000,00
Second Place   : Trophy, certificate, and Rp 300.000,00
Third Place      : Trophy, certificate, and Rp 200.000.00

Contest Requirements:
1.      Participants are Junior High School Students, grade 7-9, that is representative of their respective schools.
2.      Each school may submit two of their students as participants.
3.      Each participant must pay Rp 50.000,00 for the registration fee.
4.      All participants must attend the Technical Meeting that will be held on:
Day, date        : Wednesday, 28th March 2013
Time                : 14.30 - end
Place                : SMA Negeri 2 Yogyakarta
5.      Technical meeting will discuss the technical and competition rules. Drawing lottery and submitting speech texts will be done at Technical Meeting. For participants who do not attend, must agree with all the rules that have been set by the committee.
6.      Registration will be closed at Technical Meeting.
7.      Each participant must choose one of the three sub themes that have been provided.
8.      The speech contest will be held for two rounds. If the number of participants doesn’t meet the minimum quota, speech contest will be held for one round.
9.      Each participant needs to make one speech text only.
10.  No SARA allowed.
11.  Each participant is given 7 minutes maximum to present their speech.
12.  There are only 2 minutes that can be used overly and tolerated (8-9 minute).
13.  For one minute tolerated will have 5 points deduction from the total score.
14.  In the 3rd, 6th, and 7th minutes, participant will be warned by the supervisor:
a.       3rd minute : one knock
b.      6th minute : two knocks
c.       7th minute : continuous knocks
15.  The companion is allowed to accompany the participant when they are delivering a speech, as long it is not disturbing the contest.
16.  The judge’s decision cannot be disturbed.
